Job Description:
The Shipper-Receiver facilitates the receipt and shipment of raw materials and finished goods.
Picks goods and raw materials as needed and puts away materials and finished goods for movement to manufacturing areas, other warehouse locations and for external shipment.
Main
Responsibilities:
Processing receipt and shipment of repair orders including review and preparation of related reports.
This will include both physical movement of material as well as completion of various transactions within our ERP system.
Conducting cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy, facilitating the movement of material to appropriate positions within the repair center, kitting of materials as required for repair work orders, and coordinating the replenishment of materials according to target stocking levels.
Must be able to coordinate picks with the various roles of the organization:
shipping, manufacturing, purchasing, and planning.
Must be able to understand packing slips, purchase orders, and goods receipt processing with the supply chain management organization.
Responsible for domestic and international shipments according to legal regulations.
Regular operation of powered pallet jacks and forklifts (standing, sitting, Bendi) Ship product via UPS, FedEx, DHL and various LTL carriers, both domestically and internationally.
Provide communication to forwarders as well as internal and external customers.
Required
Experience:
High School diploma minimum 2-5 years warehousing or material handling experience Experience with SAP or Oracle ERP system preferred; we are currently transitioning from Oracle to SAP.
Knowledge of inventory control is a benefit; cycle counting, Kanban, order picking etc.
Forklift and pallet jack experience required; experience with high-reach lifts (standing or sitting) is preferred.
Good communication and organization skills along with a strong work ethic around attendance, health & safety and following processes is required.
Ability to safely lift materials weighing up to 30 pounds regularly; lifting with assistance at higher weights.
Knowledge of shipping and receiving activities utilizing carrier software such as UPS, DHL, Federal Express, Ship Connect, etc.
International shipping experience preferred.
Hazardous waste handling a plus.
Must have experience with pallet jackets, sitting & standing forklifts as well as scissor lifts.
Bendi experience or willingness to be certified needed.
