Responsibilities:
Market Research and Analysis:
Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscape within the food manufacturing industry. Analyse data to develop insights that will inform strategic decision-making. Business Expansion:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets to drive growth and increase market share. Develop and execute strategies for geographical expansion and entry into new distribution channels. Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, distributors, retailers, and potential collaborators. Foster partnerships that align with business objectives and contribute to overall success. Sales Support and Strategy:
Collaborate with the sales team to provide strategic support, including the development of promotional materials, pricing strategies, and targeted sales campaigns. Work closely with internal teams to ensure product offerings meet market demands. Negotiation and Contract Management:
Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers, distributors, and other business partners. Ensure favourable terms and conditions that align with company goals. Product Development Collaboration:
Work closely with the product development team to identify opportunities for new product offerings or improvements to existing products.Financial Analysis and Budgeting:
Develop and manage budgets for business development initiatives. Conduct financial analysis to assess the feasibility and profitability of projects. Reporting:
Provide regular reports to senior management on key performance indicators, business development activities, and the success of implemented strategies.Requirements:
Proven experience as a Business Development Manager/Executive, preferably within the food manufacturing industry. Strong understanding of market dynamics, industry trends, and customer needs in the food sector. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement effective business strategies. Proven track record of driving business growth and achieving targets. Familiarity with financial analysis, budgeting, and contract management. Happy to travel UK wide frequently depending on business needs and requirements (regular travel to be expected) How to Apply:
